The look in your eyes,
As mine set upon them
Was something so extraordinary
So beautiful, so amazing
It got me thinking:

What was I doing here
With them,
When I could have been over there
With you?

The first time I saw you, You were cute
The next time I saw you again, you were pretty

And thus, each time,
Time and again,
You took a larger part in my heart
Filling that void that had been building,
That chasm that wouldn't close.

Your laugh, that smile.
I couldn't ask you out!
It was ridiculous, right?
Well at least, it was...
Till I asked you out

That shyness around me
I could understand,
But calling out to me
When your besty was right
next to me?

Could it be that you liked me too?
Something just clicked 'tween us?
Or could I be wrong about this?
Just an overly friendly girl, perhaps?

You hang around the other guys too,
I see it, but I have the feeling that there
Just maybe something more...

Perhaps this was meant to be?
Written in the book, authored
By the Big Man Upstairs?
Perhaps it's a game?

A mind game?
Mindlessly played
By an unminding soul?

But whatever it maybe
I knew one thing since I met you,
I know one thing for sure.
And that is,

I am truly and deeply,
Irrevocably in love with you...

i learned that the emptiness in one's heart cannot be filled. the trick to losing it is to allow your heart to get stolen.

one may say that a couple falls out of love. what actually happens is that they learn to share (thus returning the hearts that they stole back then while falling in love). when this happens, slowly, bit-by-bit, that emptiness that was long gone returns and consumes the individual...

my friend, love is an art of living... it's how you appreciate what others do for you no matter how irrelevant it is...it's being a soul in 2 bodies; it's a condition where the happiness of another person is essential to yours...
